She burst into tears when remembering her house and counting the number of times she had to leave before eventually abandoning it.
She said “we left the house four times. Each displacement lasted many days until we reached a point that we couldn’t go back to our house, and we are still displaced till this moment!”
She added “after leaving, we did not have anything; we used to put our shoes under our heads and use them as pillows.”
After thinking for a moment, she resumed “I did not want to leave, but I could not look into my children’s eyes while they live under threat, so I preferred to leave.”
